Let
the Games Begin!
Thousands of Jewish teens are heading to Detroit, San Diego, and Akron this month to take part in the JCC Maccabi Games®. The JCC Maccabi Games are the largest gathering of Jewish teens anywhere, and the week-long Olympics-style event gives teens so much more than the chance to compete in their favorite sports. There's also the opportunity to meet other Jewish teenagers from all over North America, Israel, and foreign countries, and a way for teens to help others through Days of Caring and Sharing. Root for your community or teen.

JWB Offers Holy Scripture
For the first time in decades, JWB Jewish Chaplains Council sent new pocket-sized editions of the Tanakh, the entire Hebrew Bible, to Jewish troops in the Middle East and Afghanistan. JWB undertook the project with the Jewish Publication Society, and with the generous support of the Everett Foundation and other donors. The camouflage-covered edition is based on the latest translation by JPS. Read more . To order your own copy of the military Tanakh, e-mail Rabbi Barry Baron, deputy director of JWB, bbaron@jcca.org .
